What is Halal?

The Islamic Council describes halal like this:

Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. In reference to food, it is the dietary standard, as prescribed in the Qur’an (the Muslim scripture).

The opposite of halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited.

Halal and haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. These terms are commonly used in relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, and food contact materials.

While many things are clearly halal or haram, there are some things which are not clear. Further information is needed to categorise them as halal or haram. Such items are often referred to as mashbooh, which means doubtful or questionable.

Definition

In general every food is considered halal in Islam unless it is specially prohibited by the Qur’an or the Hadith . By official definition, halal foods are those that are:

  1. Free from any component that Muslims are prohibited from consuming according to Islamic law (Shariah).
  2. Processed, made, produced, manufactured and/or stored using utensils, equipment and/or machinery that have been cleansed according to Islamic law.

Muslims eat to maintain a strong and healthy physique in order to be able to contribute their knowledge and effort for the welfare of the society. Muslims are supposed to make an effort to obtain the best quality nutritionally. It is mentioned in a Hadith that the prayer of a person is rejected by Allah if the food consumed is prohibited (haram).

The Facts About Halal

At first glance this all sounds reasonable. Halal is part of islamic sharia law. Many people would shrug their shoulders and say, “So what? Halal food is just food that has been blessed and dedicated to the islamic god Allah.”

But there is a hidden and sinister purpose behind halal certification.

Before we examine that, ask yourself what islamists ate before halal certification was introduced in the 1980’s.

The answer is that they ate exactly the same food as us. If they wanted to dedicate it to their god Alla all they had to do was mutter a prayer over it, “bismillah arahman arahim”, or “bismillah allahu akhbar”.?

Fact 1: Islamists make a great deal of fuss about the cleanliness of halal slaughter and food processing. But the fact is that halal “cleanliness” is mainly based on rituals designed to honour Allah. Cleanliness standards are nowhere near up to the standards set by our Australian food laws. Animals are killed on a killing floor that gets covered in blood and feces. Documentaries made by Australian TV show that the killing floor is left dirty while many animals are slaughtered. Contamination is highly likely as a result.

Fact 2: While sharia law commands that food be dedicated to Allah, there is no mention in the koran or the hadiths about imposing a religious tax on a whole nation through payment to “certify” halal food, products, transport, farms, and warehousing. Halal certification is purely a commercial business set up by islamic scammers. No other religion does this. Halal certification is very similar to the Mafia standover money paid by businesses to be allowed to continue doing business. Halal certifiers claim that paying the halal certification fee will open up a vast “islamic market” to companies. But many companies have found that there is actually no benefit to be gained at all.

Now that people around the world have woken up to the halal scam we are boycotting products and companies that insist on paying the halal scam fee, despite millions of protests from non-islamists. Cadbury Chocolate company, owned by international food conglomerate Mondelez has suffered a big loss of business. In December 2014 Cadbury was forced to shut down their Tasmania factory for 5 weeks over the Christmas period due to a lack of orders. They had too much stock on hand. Since then Cadbury have been heavily discounting their products and bringing out new products in an attempt to win back market share. But the boycott continues and their sales are poor.

Fact 3: Halal certification is a commercial weapon being used to impose sharia law on everyone, whether we are islamic or not. By forcing non-islamists to pay the halal certification fee we are actually paying a fee, called the “jizya”.

Muhammad clearly established that people of other religions have to pay a poll tax to Muslims called the jizya, as a reminder of their inferior status. This abrogates an earlier verse stating that there is “no compulsion in religion” and it destroys any pretense that Islam is merely a religion and not a political system. This practice enabled Muhammad and his successors to fund Islamic military expansion and the lifestyle of the religious class through extortion from non-believers.

The jizya in the form of halal certification is being used today to fund islam’s military and social expansion into western countries. Every time you buy a halal certified product you are helping fund the expansion of islam into your nation.

A Sufi teacher, Shaykh Ahmad Sirhindi stated:

“The honor of Islam lies in insulting the unbelief and the unbelievers (kafirs). One who respects kafirs dishonors Muslims… The real purpose of levying the Jizya on them is to humiliate them… [and] they remain terrified and trembling.”

Fact 4: Once a company signs on as a halal certified company it finds itself locked into doing business only with islam. Meat slaughter houses must employ only islamic slaughtermen, often excluding Australian workers to use imported foreign islamic workers instead. Nolan Meats in Gympie is an example of this. They employ foreign workers on 457 visas. As a result, many Australian workers have been laid off.

Fact 5: The whole rationale behind halal is deeply flawed, especially in today’s modern world. This was demonstrated recently by the uproar caused by the discovery that Cadbury Chocolate contains porcine (pig) DNA due to the gelatin it uses. Porcine gelatin is also used in many other products, including munitions. So every time an islamist is killed by a bullet he is being contaminated by porcine DNA.

Fact 6: The prohibition on eating pig meat is not based on any religious requirement. In the 7th Century when Mohammad imposed the restriction on eating pig meat was to protect people eating unclean meat from wild pigs. Today, farming methods and refrigeration ensure that all pig meat sold in shops and butcheries is as clean and safe to eat as any other meats. But islam is incapable of changing the restriction on pork because Mohammad also declared that the koran is immutable for all time because it is the direct word of their god Allah as handed to him by the Archangel Gabriel. This makes as much sense as the rest of islam.

Fact 7: It has been proved in Canada, and can easily be proved in Australia if our politicians were willing to make the effort, that halal certification funds terrorism. Sharia law commands every islamist to pay an annual tax. The tax is usually paid to a mosque where it is disbursed to fund schools, building more mosques, helping the poor (but only islamists) and donating to various charities. It is the donations to charities that help fund terrorism because many islamic charities have been proven to have links to islamic terrorist groups.

What is halal slaughter?

Australia has laws in place that mandate how animals must be slaughtered. The abattoirs must first stun the animal using a special stun gun with a concave bolt. The bolt is shot into the head of the animal, rendering it unconscious or even killing it before it goes onto the processing line.

In contrast, halal slaughter is a very cruel and painful way to kill an animal. Although the muslims say that they stun the animal first, this is not strictly true, as the koran states very clearly that an animal must be fully conscious as its throat is slit. The bolt used in our abattoirs by the muslim slaughtermen is convex, similar to the head of a ballpeen hammer. It merely gives the animal a slight concussion, but it does not render it unconscious.

Then the muslim slaughterman slits the animal?s throat and waits for it to bleed out. A cow can take up to 20 minutes to die using this method, although the video below says only 2 minutes. Watching an animal die in this manner is truly disturbing.

You can see the pain and fear on the face of the poor beast.

Despite our Australian laws designed to stop animal cruelty, the muslims have forced the abattoirs and the government to ignore our laws and implement sharia law instead. This is un-Australian.

Where are the animal rights groups like PETA and RSPCA? Why aren?t they up in arms about this awful halal business that causes so much cruelty to our animals?
